Ocean Road Abalone

Founded by abalone divers in 1996, Southern Ocean Mariculture was one of Australia’s first abalone farms. The farm is known for its Ocean Road Abalone brand.

SOM’s team of dedicated aquaculturists (many from nearby Deakin University’s Marine Science program) produces 120+ tonnes of premium tiger abalone annually, in a range of sizes, sold live or processed locally into ready-to-eat canned and retort-packed abalone.

Find Ocean Road Abalone at seafood markets, specialty grocers, restaurants and of course in home kitchens around Australia. The farm also exports to major abalone markets and has an online store.
