About the listing

The Cadel Evans Great Ocean Road Race is the first event of its kind in Australia.

Inspired by the prestigious "Spring Classics" of Europe, the Cadel Evans Great Ocean Road Race provides a weekend of the world's best cycling, delivering high excitement and intense competition.

The inaugural edition featured as Cadel Evans' final professional race, and the former world champion returned to the event in 2016 to join thousands of fans and cyclists in the Swisse People's Ride.

A legacy of Evans, Australia's only Tour de France winner, and the 2010 UCI Road World Championships held in the same region of Geelong and the Bellarine Peninsula. The Cadel Evans Great Ocean Road Race is held in late January.

Come to Geelong and the Surf Coast to see the world's best riders compete for glory or take the challenge and take part in the highly popular Swisse People's Ride.
